Field Restaurant for the best of Prague gastronomy!

June 11, 2015 by Lynn 4 Comments

Field Restaurant opened on November 14, 2014, making it a true newcomer to the Prague restaurant scene in a city rich in history going back to the Roman times and rich in restaurants with a story to tell.

Yet, despite this newness, Field already stands out in the crowd and may well have become, in a very short amount of time, if not the best, at the very least one of the best restaurants in Prague!

Both Executive Chef Radek Kasparek and Restaurant Manager Miroslav Nosek have poured their hearts into this hip, trendy new restaurant where the food has a “wow” factor for innovation, presentation and most importantly, taste.

Field’s personal story perhaps can be said to be one of dynamic entrepreneurship combined with a passion for what they do, for doing it well, and for doing it innovatively but without forsaking artful taste. For example, along with the vibe of the restaurant with its cool music and decor and open kitchen is the vibe of creativity.

Chef Radek employs the newer techniques, such as foam, and he experiments with innovative flavor combinations and foods in their original, raw, or “field” condition as he changes his menus every 6 weeks. However, his personal love of traditional Czech cuisine and ingredients along with his dedication to his craft ensure that his clients will regularly experience that “wow!” factor and enjoy true cuisine with superb flavor.  Plus, he avoids the use of flour when possible and specializes in a lighter cuisine that appeals to healthy, modern trends.

And that health-conscious pursuit of perfection, along with playful, artful presentation, may well be the true art of modern cooking.  This is a great date-night restaurant or a place to enjoy an evening with your friends, take in the vibrant “happening” in the open kitchen, share the food and savor the many tastes of Chef Radek’s cuisine.

Field is located in the old Jewish Quarter of Prague and open weekdays for lunch and dinner, Saturdays noon – 10:30pm, and Sundays noon-10pm.  Reservations are recommended. www.field restaurant.cz
